SnowPure’s partnership with Solventum for Liqui-Cel Membrane Degassing (GTM) Contactors expands a valuable membrane solution used worldwide in many industries. We offer an easy-to-operate, chemical-free membrane for degassing and removing O2 and CO2 from water. Tower deaerators allow particles and bacteria to enter the pure water stream, Solventum’s Liqui-Cel™ is a closed membrane solution so is suited for clean fluid applications.
Liqui-Cel and Solventum became part of Thermo Fisher in 2025.
GTM membrane contactors are used for degassing RO permeate prior to feeding EDI. The critical application for EDI is CO2 removal from water. Systems also use Liqui-Cel to remove O2 for DO (Dissolved Oxygen) removal processes.
Liqui-Cel Membrane Contactors are used extensively for treating RO permeate in the microelectronics, pharmaceutical, power, and industrial pure water markets just to name a few.
Membrane degassers can also remove and concentrate ammonia (NH3). There are special process issues, please consult SnowPure.
SnowPure recommends RO › GTM › EDI for applications where either CO2 levels are high, or where the requirement for removing silica (SiO2) is critical, such as semiconductor and power generation.
